Ben Ross

Head of Travel, The Telegraph

Ben began writing about travel in 2001, becoming Travel Editor of The Independent newspaper in 2007 and Head of Travel for The Independent and Independent on Sunday in 2011. He joined the Telegraph Media Group in 2014 and is responsible for all of the Telegraph’s travel content in print and online.  

Helen Coffey

Travel Editor, The Independent

Helen is travel editor of The Independent, having previously held travel roles at The Telegraph, Evening Standard and the Express. She regularly appears as an expert contributor on travel-related stories for the BBC News channel, BBC Breakfast, BBC Radio 4 and LBC, among others. Helen’s particular passions include sustainable, climate-positive and slow travel. In 2020 she became the first travel editor of a national UK publication to give up flying, and her first book, a flight-free travel memoir entitled Zero Altitude: How I Learned to Fly Less and Travel More, was published in May 2022. She lives in Folkestone and tweets @LenniCoffey

Lisa Minot

Head of Travel, The Sun

Lisa Minot is Head of Travel at The Sun – at the helm of the print and digital operations. She has worked at The Sun for 31 years and been Travel Editor and now Head of Travel for the past 23 years. An award-winning travel journalist she regularly appears on both TV and radio as a travel expert.

Sophie Griffiths

Editor, TTG Media

Sophie Griffiths joined Travel Trade Gazette in March 2010 as a news reporter before working her way up to the position of editor in January 2017. She is also the founder of TTG LGBT – a network for LGBT people and allies within the travel industry – which  champions diversity within the sector. In 2021 Sophie was named a Travel Media Champion at the Travel Media Awards and was presented with the Association of Women in Travel Executives Honorary Award for her work advocating the travel industry during the Covid 19 pandemic. Sophie has been named Editor of the Year at the Independent Publisher Awards in 2018, 2019 and 2022.
