Take your seat for the first instalment in TravMedia’s new ‘Meet the Teams’ webinar series!
TravMedia is launching a new set of webinars within the TravMedia Meets series which will give PR subscribers the opportunity to meet the entire travel teams at leading media titles.
We’re starting the series by giving you the opportunity to spend an exclusive hour meeting The Sun’s team.
Joining us will be Lisa Minot, Jacob Lewis, Caroline McGuire and Kara Godfrey, who will provide essential insights into The Sun’s travel remit and reveal how they work with PR professionals industry-wide.
Encompassing both print and digital travel at the Sun, this pulsating one-hour session will tell you everything you need to know about working with one of the UK’s leading national newspapers; from placing ideas and trip opportunities through to generating results across The Sun’s powerful digital channels.

Caroline McGuire

Kara Godfrey

Biography
Lisa Minot has been Travel Editor of The Sun for 21 years and is a regular contributor to TV and radio. While she’s travelled to all four corners
of the globe in her hunt for the best holidays for Sun readers, she never happier than relaxing at her caravan in the South of France, where she has enjoyed holidays for over 40 years.
Biography
Deputy Travel Editor for three years, Jacob Lewis started as a tech journalist before joining The Sun in 2012 as a features writer.
Jacob hasn’t left England since March, but in another life had travelled to over 50 countries on assignment for The Sun.
A keen biker, Jacob has ridden the length of New Zealand, Route 66 and more of London than most cabbies.
Having missed out on a trip to Tokyo earlier this year, Jacob had been easing the wanderlust by learning Japanese during lockdown.
Biography
Caroline McGuire has run the travel section of Sun Online for nearly four years, building it from a monthly audience of 750,000 to 13 million unique users. She has worked as a journalist in travel, features and showbiz on the nationals for the last 11 years. She has yet to master relaxing or sunbathing on holiday, but has nailed the art of the hotel breakfast. Her ideal trip involves experiencing everything an area has to offer from morning to night, with a minimum of two good books to complete in rare quiet moments. Although with a small child in tow nowadays, both are distant memories.
Biography
Kara Godfrey has been Senior Digital Travel Writer at The Sun for nearly two years, having previously been at the Daily Express and the Daily Mail. Despite travelling extensively for 10 years, her next mission is to explore more of Africa, being an area of the world yet to be part of her repertoire. Yet you can happily find her backpacking in a budget hostel or exploring the corners of the UK.
